We want you to create our new library mascot!

We’re searching for a library mascot that embodies the core values of fostering community, igniting imagination, and nurturing a lifelong passion for learning.

If you’re a creative individual with a passion for sketching, we invite you to submit your mascot concept. Your artwork could become the face of our library, representing us to patrons of all ages.

Submission Format: Scanned Sketches/digital sketches

Submission Deadline: September 22nd, 2023

During GREATER ANDOVER DAYS, your sketches will be put to a community vote.

Cover Lookalikes: Sword

You ever notice how many covers look alike? Or maybe you can’t remember the book you read but you remember the basic details of the cover. We’re showcasing cover lookalikes every other week with a different trend each time. Today’s cover collection is simply “The Sword” and is perfect for those who can’t remember the book, but there was a sword on the cover.

Greater Andover Days Art Contest

Enter the GAD Art Contest today!

The contest is open to all student, amateur, or professional artists. We welcome submissions from artists of all levels. Local and area residents are welcome to participate! Ribbons and cash prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each division. There will be one best in show winner who will receive $150 and the opportunity to have their own future gallery show and reception at the Andover Public Library.

• It is $10 per piece, limit of one piece per category

Deadline for entries: Friday, September 22, 2023 Judging will take place on Saturday, September 23, 2023. (If your entry is not accepted, please pick it up by September 24 – 26.)

Art will be on display at the Andover Public Library during Greater Andover Days starting Friday, September 29 through October 14.
