Does APL take donations?
The Andover Public Library welcomes donations of books, CDs, and movies. Unfortunately, we cannot accept magazines, textbooks or dated materials such as encyclopedias. If an item cannot be added to our collection, we will sell the item in our book sale to raise money for our summer reading programs.
- Any Kansas resident can get an Andover Library Card. You do not need to be an Andover resident. You will need a current Driver’s License to get a library card. If your license has your correct address, then you do not need to bring anything else with you. If your license does not have your correct address, please bring an item with your name and current address printed on it. For example, checks, rental agreement, mail, or insurance card are all acceptable items.
- The person whose name will be on the library card must be at the library at the time of registration.
- Children under the age of 16 must have a parent/guardian with a current driver’s license with them at the time of registration. Children over the age of 4 may get their own library card at their parents’ discretion.
