The contest is open to all student, amateur, or professional artists. We welcome submissions from artists of all levels. Local and area residents are welcome to participate! Ribbons and cash prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each division. There will be one best in show winner who will receive $150 and the opportunity to have their own future gallery show and reception at the Andover Public Library.

Art will be on display at the Andover Public Library during Greater Andover Days starting Friday, September 29 through October 14.

Based on a single chapter, the Captain’s Log, from Bram Stoker’s classic 1897 novel Dracula, the story is set aboard the Russian schooner Demeter, which was chartered to carry private cargo – twenty-four unmarked wooden crates – from Carpathia to London. The film will detail the strange events that befell the doomed crew as they attempt to survive the ocean voyage, stalked each night by a terrifying presence on board the ship. When it finally arrived near Whitby Harbour, it was a derelict. There was no trace of the crew.
